PATRICK McCRORY VISITS MOORE COUNTY!

On Friday, August 8th, candidate for Governor Patrick McCrory  visited Moore County.  Supporters gathered at Whispering Pines and heard the candidate.  Mixing and mingling was the order of the evening as over 150 Republicans, Independents and Democrats for McCrory joined to express their strong support!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Independence Day weekend.  I want to thank those of you who participated in the parade and I want to give special recognition and thank you to the chair of the Outreach Committee, Rene’ White.  She and VP Michele Kelly, together with Lane Bergstrom, Lois Lee, Barb Riley and Joan Thurman, all decorated and/or loaned their cars and bought all the decorations, candy, etc. and just generally organized the Republicans’ appearance in the parade. We owe you all a thank you.  You did a great job!

HERE'S NEWS OF MEN'S REPUBLICAN CLUB AND WOMEN'S REPUBLICAN CLUB! 

   

Joan Thurman, Senator Elizabeth Dole and MRW President Lois Mitchell.  Golf Winners, including soldiers!  Bridge Winners Edie Ashdown & Sue Bowers.

At the John Reburn Memorial/Golf/Bridge Tournaments. We enjoyed golf, bridge and luncheon, held at Little River Country Club on Monday, June 10th.

The best news of all is that many members of our U.S. Armed Services were guests and enjoyed the day. 

Welcome, friends, and thank you from our Moore County Republican Clubs.

 


NCFRW Spring Convention in Wilmington, NC

On May 16th and 17th the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women held its Spring Convention in Wilmington, North Carolina. The theme was a tribute to women and our honoree was Lorraine Tweed.  Joan Thurman was inducted as a Regent of NCFRW.  Guest speakers were Dr. Mike Adams and Mason Weaver.  Mike Adams will be returning for his third visit to the Republican Clubs of Moore County in September.  Watch for the announcement of the date, time and place.

 

 

 


NCFRW REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S BREAKFAST

 

MRW members Norma Cappelletti, Nancy Roy Fiorillo, Linda Jarrett and Dee Park attended the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women's breakfast for women legislators on May 13th at the Cardinal Club in Raleigh.

Candidates were lined up, ready to meet and chat with each attendee.  We were treated to a delicious continental breakfast.  

A special treat was the appearance of gubernatorial nominee Patrick McCrory. 

It was a most interesting morning for your MRW representatives!
